Chief Nicholas Kuzmiak began his law enforcement career on March 1st
1982 in a small Police Department located in Orange County, New York.
He retired on March 1st 2002 after 20 years of service. He served
as Chief of Police for his last 13 years.

Sergeant Chris Mathias began his law enforcement career on February 14th
2000 with the Town of Blackstone. Chris was primarily responsible for
the design and selection of the new uniform shoulder patch. The design is also featured on the departments’ letterhead,
flag and sign which is proudly displayed in front of the Police Department. Chris is also a police instructor and is responsible
for providing firearms training to our officers.

Police Officer Larry Chumney began his law enforcement career with the Town
of Blackstone Police Department on September 1, 1972. Larry’s continued service makes him the most tenured officer
in the department. Larry is a police instructor and is responsible for providing firearms training to our officers.

Police Officer Clyde Rothgeb began his law enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone
on March 1st 1976. Clyde is the second
most tenured police officer with the Town. Clyde is a police instructor and was instrumental in organizing
the police departments’ “holiday gift” program. Clyde is also certified as a “child
seat” installer.

Police Officer Lee Scott began his law enforcement career here in Blackstone
on April
7th 1997. Lee was instrumental in organizing the police departments’ “holiday gift”
program. Lee is a police instructor, an Emergency Medical Technician and provides first aid training to officers around the
state. Lee also coordinates many police-community functions to include the neighborhood watch night out and student visits
to the police station. Lee devotes much time to the youth of our community. Lee is also certified as a “child seat”
installer.

Sergeant Tony Mayton began his career in law enforcement with the
Town of Blackstone on July 23rd 2003.

Sam Murphy began his law enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone on January 13, 2005 as a Police Officer. Sam
was promoted to Investigator on January 1st 2008.

Police Officer Douglas "Shay" Farley began his law enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone Police Department on
January 14, 2008.

Police Officer Gordon Hallock began his law enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone Police Department on
January 14, 2009.

Police Officer Candice Stembridge began
her law enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone Police Department January 5, 2010.

Police Officer Seth Myers began his law
enforcement career with the Town of Blackstone Police Department January 5, 2010.
